Biography Workshop
Document your roots, trace your family history and traditions
Too often, the refrain is heard from family members who lost a loved one: I wish I had asked more questions when he or she was alive.
In response to that lament, Temple Micah is offering of a workshop to help members write their autobiographies.
There are a number of reasons people might wish to participate. Some want to document their roots, trace their family's history and traditions and establish links among the generations. Others, upon delving into their pasts, might find stories to tell in which they are the main characters. They may want to highlight major milestones and express their feelings about people they encountered and events through which they lived. History buffs may want to augment their own stories with accounts of social, cultural or political events at various stages in their lives.
For our own Temple Micah community, we hope to make available biographies in our library. This workshop will provide a forum for an exchange of ideas and help with research. The workshop is open to anyone, but we encourage the attendance of family members to raise questions or issues of particular interest to them. Finally, the workshop provides the setting for becoming better acquainted with other temple members.
